  • Atrovent; these are one of the best quick-relief medication, taken when one experiences an asthma attack. The medicine helps to soothe your airways to facilitate breathing. Additionally, the drug can also be used to treat other respiratory complications such as chronic bronchitis.
  • Intravenous corticosteroids; this is a type of medication that helps to lessen the inflammation in the airways. However, care must be taken as the drug has severe side effects, especially when taken for a long time.
